The EuroCC2 Project was launched on January 1st 2023

Project EuroCC 2 – National Competence Centers in the framework of EuroHPC second phase of the already completed EuroCC project (2020-2022) Phase 2 started on January 1st 2023. EuroCC 2 is funded by the European Commission under the Digital Europe program and co-funded by the Ministry of Education and Science. Bulgaria takes part in the EuroCC 2 project through a consortium of three partners: IICT-BAS (coordinator), Sofia University “St. Cl. Ohridski” and the University of National and World Economy. EuroCC 2’s mission is to further build and expand a network of National Competence Centers (NCCs) in 28 European countries in the field of High Performance Computing technologies HPC+ (HPC+ stands for HPC and related technologies such as Artificial Intelligence – AI and High Performance Data Analytics – HPDA). The aim is to achieve an even higher level of maturity by stimulating cooperation, exchange of best practices and knowledge at the European level and accelerating the improvement of national and thus European HPC+ competences.
